Why this training exists
I have had vitiligo since I was 14. I've also dealt with acne and vitamin deficiencies, and I spent over a decade manufacturing specialist cosmetics for people with visible differences — pigment mixing and formulation, which turns out to be remarkably close to camouflage tattooing.
I've always been a "if you want something done, do it yourself" sort of person. Why buy makeup that doesn't contain enough pigment to cover my own skin when I could make it myself?
That's how the products came about. The training came about the same way — I couldn't find teaching that took colour seriously enough for skin like mine, so I built it.
I've camouflaged my own skin more times than I can count and tried every trick in the book. That's not theory. It's why the colour section of this course goes deeper than anywhere else you'll train.
Why train in camouflage specifically
Strong earnings. UK sessions typically run £150–£400, with most clients needing two to four. Most practitioners cover the course cost within their first eight to ten clients
Genuinely rewarding work. People arrive at the end of a long medical process and this is often the last step
A specialism, not another add-on. Still a small field in the UK, and specialists don't compete on price
A more diverse client base — the colour system is built for every skin tone, which most training isn't

Questions people ask
Do I need experience? No. Zero prerequisites, beginners genuinely welcome. Existing tattooing or PMU experience shortens the curve but isn't required.
Is it accredited? Yes. Accreditation is what UK insurers require to cover you. Government-certified routes exist, cost considerably more, and aren't necessary to practise or insure.
Do I need a licence? You need local authority registration for tattooing, plus insurance. Both are covered in the training.
How long is the training? Online modules at your own pace — most people take one to two weeks — then in person day(s).
Do I have to feel ready before the model day? No. The model day is the practice. That's the whole point of it.
How soon can I take paying clients? Most people take their first client within a few weeks of the model day. Confidence builds over months — which is what the ongoing support is for.
What's the difference between inkless and ink? Inkless needling has no pigment and treats stretch marks and textured or darker scars. Pigment camouflage adds colour for flat white scars and vitiligo. Most clients need both.
Can I train online instead? Yes — full certification including a live 1:1 supervision session and assessed case studies.
Can I train while pregnant or on maternity leave? The online modules, yes. The model day should wait. We can work around it.
Do you offer group training? Training is one to one by design. Pairs considered case by case — ask.
